Micaella Pedros (1990) is a French designer maker and artist based in London. Driven by sustainability and empowerment, she revisits materials, local resources and waste to explore new territories of use.

From plastic joinery to gravity-powered machines and rethinking solar-cookers in Uganda, she also investigates more narrative objects in furniture and sculpture.

Collaborating with museums and maker spaces, sharing her findings during workshops is a key element of her practice.

She holds a Master’s Degree in Design Product from the Royal College of Art (2016) and two Industrial & Product Design Degrees from ENSAAMA (Paris, France - DSAA 2014 & BTS 2012). After her practice’s first years at Blackhorse Workshop, travels, self-discovery and a full-time position as a design consultant in social innovation, she found her way back to the workshop and her projects, while developing skills on the side such as carpentry, woodturning, welding and cabinet making.
